Privacy Policy

Account information: When you create an account, we collect your name and email address.

Payment information: Subscription payments are processed securely by Stripe. FluentFox never stores, sees or has access to your credit card or payment details — all payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe in accordance with their own privacy and security standards.

Learning data: We store your lesson completions, quiz scores, XP totals and course progress to provide a personalised learning experience.

Usage data: We collect anonymised data about how you use the platform — which features you use, how long you spend on lessons, and which courses you visit. This helps us improve the product.

Communications: If you contact us, we store your name, email and message in order to respond.

We use your data to:

• Provide, personalise and improve the FluentFox service
• Track your learning progress and award XP and course completions
• Process subscription payments via Stripe
• Send you service-related communications (account confirmations, billing receipts)
• Send optional newsletter updates if you have subscribed
• Respond to support and contact enquiries
• Analyse aggregated, anonymised usage to improve the platform

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling beyond personalising the learning experience.

User account data and learning progress are stored securely in Supabase, which uses industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit. Supabase infrastructure is hosted on AWS and complies with SOC 2 Type II standards.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data from unauthorised access, loss or disclosure. No system is completely secure, but we are committed to protecting your information.

FluentFox uses the following third-party services:

• Stripe — payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy governs how they handle your payment data.
• Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure.
• Vercel — hosting and deployment infrastructure.
• Google Analytics — traffic and usage analysis, so we understand how the platform is used and where to improve it. We do not send Google Analytics any personally identifiable information (no names, no email addresses), and it does not load if your browser has Do Not Track enabled.

We do not sell, trade or share your personal data with any third parties for their own marketing or commercial purposes.

We use cookies for two purposes:

• Authentication: A session cookie keeps you logged in between visits. This is essential for the service to function.
• Analytics: We use Google Analytics to understand how the platform is used — which pages are visited, which features are popular, and where people run into trouble. This data is anonymised and does not identify you personally, and it respects your browser's Do Not Track setting.

You can clear cookies at any time through your browser settings. Clearing authentication cookies will log you out of FluentFox.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Withdraw consent for optional communications (e.g. newsletter) at any time

We retain your account and learning data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes.

FluentFox is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes arising from this policy will be subject to the jurisdiction of Australian courts.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of FluentFox after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
